Casper Test Dates 2026-27 for the US and Canada

Casper test dates for US medical schools run from 19 March 2026 to 9 February 2027 in the 2026-27 cycle. Canadian sittings run from 19 July 2026 to 29 April 2027.

Acuity Insights, which makes the Casper test, lists 20 US dates and 19 Canadian dates this cycle. When we last checked, on 13 September 2026, 8 US dates and 15 Canadian dates were still to come.

All times below are Eastern time, so convert them to your own time zone. Where a date has two start times, you pick one when you book. Always confirm your date on Acuity's Dates and Fees page, the official list.

US Casper test dates for medical schools

These are the dates for US medical schools, both MD and DO programs. Other US programs, such as PA, pharmacy and dental schools, use a different Casper test type, and its dates can differ.

Canadian Casper test dates

These are Acuity's English-language sittings for Canadian health programs such as medicine and pharmacy. Some programs, including undergraduate nursing and teacher education, use a different Casper test type with its own dates.

How to choose your Casper test date

• Check each program's deadline first. Programs set the last Casper date they'll accept, so find yours before you book.
• Leave yourself a buffer. An earlier sitting gives you room to reschedule if your plans change.
• Book early. Booking sooner gives you more dates and times to choose from.
• Pick a time when you're sharp. Start times are Eastern, so work out what each one means where you live.
• Leave time to practise. A few weeks of timed practice makes the format feel familiar by test day.

How to register for the Casper test

You reserve your Casper test from your Acuity Insights account, choosing your country, admissions cycle, programs and a set date and time. Book at least 3 days ahead to allow time for ID checks and payment processing.

Have your list of programs ready before you start, since you pick them as part of the booking. Acuity's booking guide walks through each step.

In Canada, most programs you pick add to the cost, as the fees below show.

Casper test fees in the US and Canada

What you pay depends on where your programs are, and in Canada on how many you choose.

In Canada, no programs are included in the test fee. Sending your results to 4 programs costs C$130 in total. So check that each program needs a Casper result before you add it.

In the US, the medical school fee already covers sending results to a set number of programs. Acuity's Dates and Fees page shows how many are included this cycle and what each extra program costs.

Other Casper test types have their own fees, so check the fee for your test type when you book.

Fee assistance

If you're approved for a US or UK fee assistance program, such as AAMC's, your Casper test may be free. That includes sending your results to all the programs you select.

Only US and UK fee assistance programs are on Acuity's list. Its fee assistance article names each one and explains how to apply.

Casper test accommodations

Acuity reviews accommodation requests case by case. Send the Accommodations Request Form (Parts 1 and 2) and your supporting documents at least 4 weeks before your Casper test.

If you need accommodations, sort out your request before you pick a test date, so it reaches Acuity in time. Acuity's accommodations article explains the forms and the process.

Rescheduling and retakes

You can only complete each Casper test type once per admissions cycle. Rescheduling is free 31 or more days before your test, and a fee may apply after that.

So treat your sitting as the one that counts, and move your date early if your plans change.

When Casper results come out

Acuity sends your Casper test results to the programs you've chosen about 2 to 3 weeks after your test. Your quartile score is available about 4 to 5 weeks after the test.

Getting ready for your test date

Picking a date is the easy part. The harder part is walking in already at ease with the format and the clock.

1. Put the date in your calendar, with the start time in your own time zone.
2. Count back from the date, and plan a few weeks of timed practice.
3. Test your camera and microphone a few days before, so there are no surprises on the day.
4. Plan a quiet, private room for the whole test.
